SUMMARY:Gala Day and Battle of the Blues -2021
DESCRIPTION:Considering the current pandemic situation\, we have combined the annual cricket match between the HCPPA- UK and the Jaffna Hindu college OBA – UK\, the Battle of the Blues (BOB)\, along with the Gala Day. BOB will also be held at the same park and both BOB and Gala Day will be next to each other. \n\n\n\nThe Battle of the Blues will start at 10:00 AM and expected to finish by 3:00 PM. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis year’s Gala Day will not only be a gathering but also a family day outing for everyone with more entertaining activities. Please come along with your families and friends and you will not be disappointed. Several fun games including hiking\, boat rides*\, cricket\, football\, volleyball\, sack race etc. for all ages have been arranged. There will be plenty of famous Sri Lankan food such as kool and Kothhu with BBQ\, and drinks available throughout the day.. \n\n\n\n(* – boat rides require advance booking and please contact the undersigned or any committee members. Boat rides are only available till 4.00PM and therefore please come early for this activity). \n\n\n\nAdmission: Free \n\n\n\nThe event will be arranged in accordance with the Government’s COVID 19 guidelines. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to book the boatsBoats can be booked in advance over the phone on 01252 370073\, or at Reception. We do advise that you book in advance to save disappointment. \n\n\n\nIf you’ve booked in advance\, all you have to do then is turn up 10 minutes before your hire is due to start and wait at the designated waiting point issued to you at the time of the booking. \n\n\n\nIf you are booking from reception\, simply report to reception where a member of staff will check availability of the boats for you and then get you booked in and give you waiting instructions. \n\n\n\nPlease note that the hire of a boat is non refundable unless the Canal Authority have had to cancel in which case a full refund will be offered. \n\n\n\nPricesPedalos – £9 per half hour \n\n\n\nRowing boats – £15 for 1 hour £18 for 1 ½ hours \n\n\n\nCanoes – £12.50 for 1 hour £15 for 1 ½ hours \n\n\n\nDouble Kayak – £13 for 1 hour £16 for 1 ½ hours \n\n\n\nSingle Kayaks – £13 for 1 ½ hours \n\n\n\nHire times10.15am to 3.40pm \n\n\n\n* If you need more information\, Please contact  committee members.
