It is with great sadness to inform that Mr Chinnaiya Tharmalingam has peacefully passed away on 16th June 2022 in Puloly South, Sri Lanka.
He was born on 26th December 1927. He studied at Puttalai Maha Vidyalayam (MV), Velautham Maha Vidyalayam and Hartley College. He is known as the ‘CT master’ and was the Principal at Puttalai Maha Vidyalayam for over 17 years. Hartley College was displaced to Puttalai Maha Vidyalayam during his tenure as Principal and his generosity allowed Hartley College to function smoothly and it coocupied at the most part of the school.
He is the loving son of the late Chinnaiya and Kathiraaththaipillai and the beloved husband of Late Meenatchipillai. He is the loving father of Vinayagamoorthy, Ganeshamoorthy (Hartleyite), Vigneshwaramoorthy (Hartleyite), Sathiyamoorthy (Hartleyite), Sarathathevi, late Suntharamoorthy, late Sathiyathevi, Sahunthalathevi, Krishnamoorthy (Hartleyite) and Vasanthathevi. He is the loving father-in-Law of Nadarajasuntharam (Hartleyite, Former HCPPA-UK executive committee member), Sivalingam, Ragavan, Pathmavathy, Thayavathy, Sushanthi, Sutharka, and Thayalini.
Funeral arrangements are as below.
The Hindu Ritual ceremony will be held at his residence (Poomagal Vasa, Puloly, Sri Lanka) between 6am to 8am on 19th June 2022 Sunday. The Cremation will follow at 9am at Aanaivizhunthan cremation grounds.
