This year is our 40th anniversary of HCPPA-UK. We would like to thank you for your continuous support to our Alma mater. Without your support, we do not think we could have run this organisation for four decades. Your continuous support will help to upskill our students’ performance and nurture their future.

Please find the following updates from HCPPA-UK;

1.     Membership Drive

HCPPA-UK is on a membership drive to increase its strength. Our gratitude for those who have already joined/renewed their membership for 2023. So far, we have 125 members in which 87 – life members, 16 – 5 years members, and 22 – annual members. Our target for this year is to increase our membership to at least 200 before 31st May 2023. I kindly request all the Hartleyites to join as a member in HCPPA-UK and serve to our College. We have recently introduced online payment portal on our website https://hcppa.co.uk/join-us/ for membership payment. You can easily submit and pay your HCPPA-UK membership via our website. Please help us by passing this information to other Hartleyites in UK.

2.     Nathavinotham 2023

We are in the process of arranging our branded musical show “Nathavinotham” on Saturday 29th April 2023. The concert will be performed by top 12 musicians from Chennai. The details of the event will be circulated in due course. Please save the date on your diary. If any of you wants to promote your  business and advertise on our event please contact us. Please contact us to reserve your seats.

3.     Update from College

We are closely working with the Principal, Global trust and other PPAs to support our Alma mater.

  • School has re-opened for academic activities on 20th Feb 2023. Principal has arranged practice exams for the 2023 A/L students to prepare for their final exam.
  • The sports meet will be on 04th of March 2023. Chief guest will be our former principal Mr Theivendraraja.
  • School is providing free meal to all our students. This was funded by HCPPA-UK and other PPAs. This has been well received and appreciated by parents and the local community. Initially, the school meal programme was planned to provide for six months. However, now this has been extended for another six months considering economic situation in Sri Lanka. All the PPAs will support this programme.
  • Currently, 18 students are in our hostel. Out of 18 students, 8 students are studying GCE A/L and other 10 students are studying Grade 6 to 11. PPAs are supporting some extra tuition classes for hostel A/L students.
